Eva, an ambitious start-up enterprise, needed help with a marketing plan, corporate branding, website design and development, and the development of a suite of sales and marketing materials. They looked for marketing agencies London and found Abacus. The initial stage in the process was to understand the overall business proposition. We facilitated a workshop attended by senior managers to discuss the business plan, customer profiles and product features, and we analysed the marketing efforts of key competitors to find out what they were doing.
We held face-to-face interviews with key team members to better understand their roles and responsibilities, as well as to gather their opinions and listen to their concerns. We headed up a brainstorming session to build up a better picture of audience profiles to better define core customer segments and their pain points, and we established the core features and benefits of their launch product.
This enabled us to identify the main challenges that their different customer groups were facing, and this information informed the messaging we used to demonstrate how Eva would overcome these problems.
We held a facilitated brainstorming session to develop a powerful strategic brand proposition. We looked at the vision, mission and values. Furthermore, as part of our V5 brand voice model, we looked at their virtues, views and vows. We built a brand pyramid that clearly conveyed the desired character and personality of the organisation.
Eva was chosen as the trading name. It’s an acronym derived from the initials of the two partner organisations, Verita and AlfaPeople, with the first “E” representing the fact that it was a cloud-based technology solution, as well as being a nod to the support and backing provided by Microsoft, the third partner in the mix, on whose software platforms the app was built.
We created three brand concepts for the logo and demonstrated how each design would work by visualising them on the home page of the website and on other core assets. We developed the preferred styling in partnership with our client until it met with their complete satisfaction.
We built a splash page for the website as an interim measure to allow the Eva team to begin the sales process as quickly as possible, and created a full website shortly thereafter. Our creative services team provided graphic design and copywriting support. We also developed a “how to” video, complete with subtitles, which is hosted on the website home page in order to explain the concept to potential customers.
We designed and printed various sales and marketing materials, including a brochure, folder, exhibition stand, corporate presentation and stationery.
“We were all impressed with the quality of the work delivered by Abacus, and by the huge efforts they put in to help us to launch Eva as quickly as possible in a cost-effective way. They provided a professional and personable service.”
