As the owner of the business, it’s my job to make sure we always deliver on our pledge to provide clients with a big agency experience without the big agency price tag. I once overheard someone say it was impossible to offer great quality, great service and great value. I disagree. Why? Because we’ve found a way to do so.

The business very much reflects my own personal ethics and values

From working with integrity and treating everyone with respect, to making sure we all enjoy the journey along the way – that means not just clients, but also internally too – employees, partners, associates and suppliers. My motto is that I like to treat everyone I meet with the same respect with which I would like them to treat me.

Abacus is more than just a business; it provides passion and purpose to my working day. In fact, I initially set up the business back in 2010 because I wanted to work in a place where I knew I could always guarantee the highest possible standards and deliver the best possible results. I also wanted to deliver good value for money too, based on a fair and transparent approach to financial matters.

I’m still very much hands on. In fact, I’m responsible for heading up anything to do with the delivery of marketing consultancy, including the creation of marketing plans, marketing strategies and strategic brand propositions – also, I’m the primary point of contact for ongoing account management to ensure high quality work and premium service is delivered at all times.

A great pleasure of mine is working with small business owners, helping them to improve the way they market their businesses to potential customers. I’ve often felt that ambitious SMEs and funded start-up enterprises aren’t always given the best advice, so I wanted to create an environment where they would be genuinely nurtured through the entire marketing planning process.

However, I still enjoy the buzz of working with corporate giants too – in fact, the first client on our books was a division of Bloomberg. It’s great to put our value proposition to the test against some of the best marketing agencies London has to offer. We always seem to get challenged to deliver something out of the ordinary too. I love the satisfaction one gets by solving a complex task.
